Writer and Editor

If you’re looking for a ghostwriter, content writer, or editor, please get in touch! (open to part-time/freelance work)

Sophie Nichols • Aspiring ghostwriter and lover of tall tales.

I'm a Coloradan with a BA in English and Creative Writing graduate from University College Dublin, and I would love to offer my skills to a literary agency, publisher, or magazine.

I’ve been an intern at Dzanc Books and an editor for two student literary journals—I’ve written work across genres, from accessibility guides to foodie manuscripts, and I’m a stickler for the details. On the freelance side of things, I have experience writing for alive.com. Additionally, I served as an assistant editor for Dr. Jonathan Creasy on his upcoming project focusing on poet Benjamin Alire Sáenz.

I tend to gravitate towards literary and fiction writing, with short stories published in ‘The New Word Order’ and UCD LitSoc’s ‘Caveat Lector,’ but I’m also skilled at research-based projects involving travel or history. I’ve written reader’s reports, edited novels, and worked with programs like Submittable and Scrivener. At the end of the day, I love a good challenge.

In my free time I’m a lover of all things fantasy, whether that be re-reading The Lord of the Rings or editing my unpublished manuscript. I’m always up for a chat on all things pop-culture!
